Midwest Big Data Summer School online on May 17-20, 2021

The Midwest Big Data Summer School for Early Career Researchers designed as an intensive curriculum aimed at practitioners and researchers to get them started in data-driven research and development. The school will include full day lectures on topics ranging from: data acquisition, data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, descriptive data analysis, data analysis tools and techniques, visualization and communication. The last day of the summer school consists of tracks where each individual track focuses on a subarea of big data analysis. Currently planned tracks include: Foundations of Data Science, Machine Learning and Data Mining, and  Data Science for Public Good. Each track consist of tutorials and invited lectures that highlight current research methodologies and challenges.

  • Early registration (Ends on April 15) - Student Registration is $20 and All Others will be $50.
  • Regular registration (April 16 - May 10) - Student Registration is $50 and All others will be $75.

Change in plans: If you cannot attend, you may have a substitute. If you cancel your registration on or before May 10, 2021, your registration fee will be refunded minus a $5 administration fee. All cancellations must be in writing and sent to Registration Services at registrations@iastate.edu. No refunds will be made after May 10.
