HPC Immersion for Undergraduate Students at SC20 in Atlanta, GA November 14-20, 2020
For HPC Newcomers
The HPC Immersion program gives undergraduate students early in their academic career an introduction to high performance computing (HPC). Students will be guided through the SC20 Technical Program and meaningfully engage in activities including technical talks and workshops. The program aims to give students a better understanding of opportunities in HPC career options in computer science, computer engineering, and computational science.
The HPC Immersion program will also be involved in the entire Students@SC program. HPC Immersion students will attend all Students@SC sessions including panels, hands-on learning sessions, and mentoring. Prior to SC20, support including an introduction to HPC will be provided to participants.
Students should be first-time attendees with little to no HPC experience or exposure. Travel expenses are covered for students to attend SC20, including air travel, housing, and Technical Program Registration including Workshops at the conference.
